Talk at INTERSECTION23, the global summit for enterprise and business architects by Intersection Group, held at Vienna University (18 to 20 September 2023), on applying architecture thinking to sustainability challenges.
It covered the hidden environmental costs of technology, what a holistic sustainable architecture needs to consider across people, planet and profit, and how Scott Logic had advised clients and built solutions that surface these challenges and mitigate them across design, software engineering, DevOps and operations. The talk drew heavily on Green Software Foundation materials, but painted a broader picture than environmental sustainability alone.
